DIRECTOR – Michael Rhodes HIP HOP
Michael Rhodes was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and has been trained in all styles of dance at an early age. From the age of 13, he added Hip Hop to his repertoire and from then, there was no looking back. He has toured the world to places such as JAPAN and the CARRIBEAN, and has danced for such artists as LADY GAGA and JANET JACKSON.
Faculty member and long-time Janet Jackson choreographer, Gil Duldulao, was so impressed with 21 year old Canadian resident Mike Rhodes, that he offered him an opportunity of a lifetime. To everyone’s disbelief, Gil explained that his boss (none other than Janet herself) had given him the authorization to hire him on the spot.
Mike can be seen in the upcoming films "Percy Jackson And The Olympians" as well as Disney's "Camp Rock 2". He will also be shooting in the new dance motion film "Beat The World" choreographed by the infamous Luther Brown and Sho-Tyme.
Mike also owns his own dance company called Drop Dance Intensive. Drop Dance Intensive is one of Canada's newest and hottest dance workshop, working in collaboration with some of North America's top choreographers in the music industry today.
Michael wishes to continue his career as a working and professional dancer in the industry. His dance style is very unique and his ability to pick up different choreographers styles is amazing. Mike is truly an extraordinary performer with potential of becoming one of the most sought after dancers in the U.S. entertainment industry.
