Dance Review | BalletMet: Collaboration truly is inspired
On the basis of Friday night's performance in the Ohio Theatre, however, several other adjectives would have made equally apt titles: energetic, ebullient and exhilarating also fit the bill - and that's just the E's. The program consisted of three medium-length works, the first of which featured the dancers of BalletMet; the second, the dancers of the Cincinnati Ballet; and the third, the resources of both companies.

Country Star Jana Kramer Performs at Nashville Ballet's Ballet Ball 2016 Tonight
Country music star Jana Kramer is among a diverse group of artists to perform at Nashville Ballet's largest annual fundraiser, Ballet Ball , at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center tonight, March 12. In the midst of the company's 30th anniversary season, this year's Ballet Ball entertainment will celebrate the richness and diversity of dance as well as Music City artists. Kramer will perform her hit single I Got The Boy from her latest studio album, Thirty One.

Bye Bye Birdie is a bit of musical fluff perfect to take the edge off a blustery March evening. Antigo High School is staging the lighthearted show-a musical farce loosely based on Elvis Presley's induction into the U.S. Army in 1958-tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The show repeats next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, all at 7:30 p.m. Final dress rehearsal, traditionally known as parents night, was held Thursday evening and the admittedly partisan crowd filled the Volm with a level of applause and belly laughs usually reserved for professional troupes and high level comedians.

The Ailey Extension to Offer Spring Workshops
This spring, The Ailey Extension offers unique opportunities for students to blossom. On Tuesday, March 22nd, Ailey II Artistic Director Troy Powell will lead a special Horton Workshop; on Thursday, March 24th, Ailey dancer Sean Aaron Carmon steps from the stage to the studio to teach a Contemporary Jazz Workshop; and World Dance Celebration workshops in seven different techniques kick off the week of April 17th.
