Thrive With Movement: Where Passion Meets Purpose

~ Coming this summer 2024 ~

Hey, Aloha Dance Studio & Tumbling fam!

Exciting news – we're evolving into something bigger, brighter, and even more AWESOME: Thrive With Movement our nonprofit side that will provide more opportunities for our Keiki and Youth on Kauai.

At Thrive With Movement, we're not just about dance and tumbling (although we still LOVE those moves!) – we're on a mission to empower our community's youth in ways that go beyond the dance & tumbling floors!

Partnering with HAPA: We've teamed up with the incredible Hawaii Academy of Performing Arts (HAPA) to bring your teens an AMAZING opportunity to dive deep into the arts (6th - 12th grades)! From music to theater, literature to dance – we've got it all covered. Plus, special workshops, competition and guest instructors to our island! Oh, you betcha!

Don't worry, we will still have an amazing pre preparatory program and recreational program for our students if HAPA is not the direction you would like to go. HAPA is not a requirement, just another level to our programs :)

Connections Beyond the Horizon: Thrive With Movement isn't just local – we've got friends and partners in LA, NYC, DC, and beyond! Our connections mean endless opportunities for our kids to explore, learn, and grow on a global scale. Talk about spreading those wings!

College and Career Mentorship: Whether your high school students are looking to pursue higher education and in need of arts scholarships, or they are aiming to further their careers after high school, we'll have mentors available to guide them every step of the way. Choose the direction you desire, and we'll provide the support!

Transitioning from Aloha Dance Studio & Tumbling: Beginning June 2024, we'll be operating under Thrive With Movement, our nonprofit side, to provide even more opportunities for our keiki and youth.

So here's to a new chapter, filled with passion, purpose, and plenty of MOVEMENT! Keep an eye out for more updates, events, and ways YOU can get involved in making our community shine brighter than ever before!

Aloha Dance Studio Mission

Aloha Dance Studio was founded in 2002 to serve the needs of students all over the island of Kauai. Since we opened our doors, our Dance School has helped an impressive number of students, including 2nd generation helping children build self-esteem, self confidence, and team building skills through the art of dance. Our innovative and fun teaching methods help students really latch onto the material, and take charge of their own learning. We continue to strive to bring a fun and professional learning experience to ages 3 years old and up.

Aloha Dance Studio is a place where kids of all ages’ shapes and sizes learn to dance, and perform. This is a safe place where creativity, individuality and self-expression are encouraged and have a community of teachers, students and families who are passionate about performing arts. Our goal is to create a positive and happy experience for all our students. We strive to nurture and develop talent, celebrate the achievements of all students, and inspire a love and appreciation of all styles of dance, the performing arts. We are committed to providing a safe and positive environment in which all students can feel empowered, comfortable, and free to express themselves.

It is important to us at Aloha Dance Studio that all members of our team share our vision, our purpose and the philosophy that encompasses everything we do both in and outside of our classes. This is a vision that is shared and demonstrated by the directors, teachers and staff members and it is the driving force behind every interaction with our students and their families.

We are excited to partner with Thrive With Movement to provide scholarships for dance and tumbling. With your support and partnership, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of young individuals who may otherwise be limited in their access to these valuable opportunities. By funding our child and youth scholarships, you directly contribute to fostering their physical, emotional, and social development. Through movement, we nurture confidence, creativity, teamwork, and resilience, empowering them to reach their full potential.

SERVICES WE OFFER

FALL & SPRING SESSIONS

Classes starting for 2 years old and up

Aloha Dance Studio & Tumbling has programs for everyone ages 1 years old through Adults. We have instruction in Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Pointe, Tumbling, and our Parent/Tot. Our Sessions run from August - December, and January - June.

We have 2 performance per year with our winter showcase in December and our End of Season Recital in June. Performances are always optional, but you will enjoy performing on stage!! We specialize in the disciplines of technique required to achieve excellence in all the performing dance and tumbling areas, as well as dance and tumbling for recreational enjoyment.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS

With our short summer workshop sessions, students have the chance to try something new and have a fun learning experience or stay conditioned throughout the summer. Our workshops are a wonderful place to start your dance and tumbling journey without a long term commitment. Learn and have fun all at the same time with Aloha Dance Studio.
